Katy Brehan, ABCDT, KPACTP, FDM
Trainer
Katy started her dog training career in service dog training in 2015. The skills she developed have contributed to life-altering results for veterans, men, women, and children with physical and developmental disabilities. Teaching dogs to assist people in navigating life as a team has been a rewarding and fulfilling endeavor over the last 7 years. Making the human-dog connection as strong as possible using positive reinforcement is at the heart of all her learning and teaching. She is bringing that passion to pet dog training.
Katy began her dog training education in 2014 obtaining her certification in Obedience Dog Training at Animal Behavior College. Through this course, she met and mentored under Amber Todd. During COVID, Katy took the opportunity to go back to school and received her Certified Training Partner (CTP) certification through the Karen Pryor Academy. Continuing to learn and grow as a trainer is an essential part of her lifelong journey.
