Erin Truchan, LVT
Trainer

Erin began working with animals professionally in 2009 and earned her Veterinary
Technician license in 2011. She has since worked as an LVT and Clinic Manager at a
local Veterinary Clinic.

Erin has shared her life with four dogs over the past 15 years; two were adopted as
adolescents (Birdie Lou and Jack), one as an adult (Lily) and one as a puppy (Poppy
Jo). It was with the adoption of Lily, Erin’s first experience adopting an adult dog, that
her interest in canine behavior grew. It was immediately clear that work with Lily would
require a path much different than any Erin had previously worked through. While she
initially gave Lily the time and space she appeared to require Erin grew more motivated
to address her behavioral needs through training and management.

Erin is committed to learning all she can about behavior and reward-based training by
regularly participating in online courses, webinars, and workshops. She also enjoys
attending classes with her own dogs for fun and enrichment. Erin is a Fear Free
Certified Professional and is currently working towards earning her Dip. CBST (Diploma
of Canine Behavior Science and Technology).
